Final Prototype
*This project was an early design scheme based onthe story of the typical campus cyclist who uses their bike for mostlyutilitarian purposes. The design was for what would eventually become an entryin the student category of the annual Oregon Manifest Constructor’s DesignChallenge competition. This competition challenges builders to design the ‘ultimateutility bike for modern living,’ and requires that each entry be put through vigoroustests to prove itself. The bike was built shortly after the initial designphase, and although its final form was different, a lot of the initial ideasbehind this design still came through in the end, and the campus story drovethe whole scheme. I did not participate in the actual construction of the finalproduct, but it went on to win first place in the student category of the 2011Oregon Manifest.
